PRONTO-Xi - eXtensible Infrastructure - Minimum Configuration

This document provides information about the system requirements for the PRONTO-Xi Client .

System Requirements

Client Workstation:

    Minimum configuration;

        133mhz PC running Windows 98 SE
        800 x 600* display with 256 colours. (* - See Note 1 below)
        48Mb Memory
        20Mb hard disk space for NT Client or 5Mb hard disk space for ProClient
        Internet Explorer 6.0

    Recommended minimum configuration;

        400Mhz Pentium 2 running Windows 98 SE
        1024 x 768 display with 16-bit colour
        64Mb Memory
        20Mb hard disk space for NT Client or 5Mb hard disk space for ProClient
        Internet Explorer 6.0

Client Workstation that performs regular printing:

    Recommended minimum configuration;
        800Mhz Pentium 3 running Windows 98 SE
        1024 x 768 display with 16-bit colour
        256Mb Memory
        100Mb hard disk space
        Internet Explorer 6.0

PRONTO XML Print Service:

    Minimum configuration;
    Required only when printing full XML based reports/documents directly from Unix
    server.

    Windows 2000
    Minimum Hardware specifications as specified by Microsoft for a Print Server
    Internet Explorer 6.0

Windows Terminal Server:

    Minimum configuration;
    Normally used when running Windows Workstations (NON-Proclient) over a WAN

    Windows 2000
    Minimum Hardware specifications as specified by Microsoft for a Terminal Server
    Internet Explorer 6.0

Graphical Software Requirements

Additional limited graphical functions are provided in particular modules by MS Office 2000 web components and as such,
installation of MS Office 2000 is required for these functions. If MS Office 2000 is unavailable, the graphical functions will
offer a link to www.pronto.com.au web site for downloading of the charting components.

Notes

Minimum Resolution: The following functions require a minimum resolution of 1024 x 764.
INV E005 - Inventory Enquiry Console
POS E006 - POS Decision Support System
Although PRONTO-Xi has been testing successfully on the above recommended minimum hardware configuration on Windows 95, this platform is NOT supported. The minimum windows platform supported by PRONTO-Xi Software is Windows 98 SE.
There is no support for 'dumb' (EG Wyse/VT) terminals.
Windows ME and Windows NT4 are NOT supported.
